For the first time in Georgia, the Qvevri Wine Festival will be held

“On September 1, in Tbilisi, in the renovated Orbeliani Square from 15:00 to 22:00 – for the first time in Georgia a Qvevri Wine Festival will be held – Travel in Georgia with Wine.
The aim of the festival is to support tourism, strengthen the reputation and image of our country internationally, raise the level of Qvevri wine education, increase consumer culture and promote wine tourism.
50 family cellars will take part in the festival.
The festival is organized by the initiative of Small Family Cellars and with the support of Tbilisi City Hall, National Wine Agency and Department of Tourism.
The festival will be decorated with songs by Georgian folk song ensembles, folk choirs and ethno jazz band.
The festival will include free tasting of unique pitcher wines, and each wine cellar represents at least 30 bottles of wine sold at a symbolic price of 10 GEL for tourism promotion purposes, ”reads the statement.
